About Wilten Construction
Wilten Construction is a fast-growing, multi-award-winning main contractor delivering high quality new build, fit-out, extensions and refurbishments across the industrial, logistics, commercial and retail sector. Since launching in 2021, we've built a reputation for doing things differently, combining the expertise of a Tier 1 contractor with the agility, responsiveness and personal approach of a specialist business.
Recognised as the UK's Leading Industrial & Commercial Construction Contractor at the SME News Business Elite Awards 2026, we're proud to be an ambitious business with an award-winning reputation for delivering exceptional projects and investing in our people.
As we continue to expand, we're looking for ambitious individuals who share our values and want to be part of a business where their contribution is recognised, their development is supported and they can help shape the future of Wilten Construction.
To support our continued success we're looking for a Bid Administrator to join the team!
The Role
As a Bid Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business by helping to put together high quality, compliant bid and tender submissions. You'll work closely with our Pre-Construction and Operational teams, coordinating documents, formatting responses and keeping everything on track so that submissions are accurate, complete and ready to go out on time.
You'll be responsible for gathering information from across the business, populating templates and bid documents, and making sure every submission reflects the quality and professionalism that Wilten Construction is known for. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational and administrative skills who wants to build a career in bids.
The Day to Day
- Assemble and format bid responses for PQQs and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Operational teams to gather technical and project-specific information.
- Proofread and check content to ensure submissions are accurate, consistent and aligned with Wilten Construction's brand and templates.
- Track bid programmes and manage multiple tender deadlines simultaneously.
- Maintain and update the bid content library, ensuring information remains current and relevant.
- Check client requirements against submissions to ensure compliance.
- Support the continuous improvement of bid processes, templates and submission quality.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain case studies, CVs, project information and supporting evidence.
- Assist with preparing presentation materials and interview submissions where required.
- Support post-tender reviews by helping capture feedback and file documentation.
Who Are You?
- Previous experience in a bid administration, document control, or similar coordination/support role — construction, engineering or built environment experience is a plus but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to formatting and checking documents.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities at once.
- Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels to gather information.
- Comfortable working with templates, document libraries and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Living within a commutable distance to Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
What's in it for You?
- Be part of an ambitious, award-winning company with an exceptional reputation.
- Work alongside a dynamic team that's challenging "the way it's always been done".
- Genuine opportunities for progression, development and long-term career growth.
- Competitive salary, depending on experience.
- Annual performance bonus.
- Private medical insurance.
- Death in Service cover.
- Free on-site parking.
- Company events and team socials.
- A supportive, collaborative culture where your ideas and contribution are genuinely valued.
At Wilten Construction, we're building more than projects - we're building a culture where good people can do great work, enjoy what they do, and grow along the way.
If you'd like to be part of it, we'd love to hear from you.
