Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a CDP , you will play a vital role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to food safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Regular hours 9am - 5pm (average of 30 evenings per year)
Closed Christmas day & Boxing day
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Cook and assemble dishes in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A genuine passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
