Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs with food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of daily kitchen activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
- Support chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen area
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary assistance when required
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and health & safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities within the kitchen setting
