About us
Lowe Property Care provides property maintenance, repairs, renovations and general upkeep services for residential and commercial customers across Essex, London and surrounding areas.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for reliable and experienced multi-trade operatives to support us with regular maintenance and repair work.
We are open to applications from both:
- Self-employed multi-trade subcontractors
- Candidates seeking an employed position
The type of engagement offered will depend on your experience, availability, preferred working arrangement and the needs of the business.
The opportunity
This role would suit an experienced multi-trader, handyman, maintenance operative or property repair specialist looking for regular and varied work.
You will attend jobs based on your skills, location and availability, working across residential homes, commercial properties and managed sites.
Self-employed subcontractors will remain responsible for how they run their own business and will be free to work for other customers and clients.
Employed team members will work under agreed employment terms, hours and company procedures.
Typical work includes
- General property repairs and maintenance
- Painting and decorating
- Basic carpentry
- Repairing or replacing fixtures, fittings, doors and locks
- Basic plumbing repairs where competent
- Small repair works and making-good
- Property condition checks and job surveys
- Identifying and reporting additional issues
- Providing clear photographs and job notes
- Working professionally in occupied homes, commercial properties and managed sites
You will need
- Your own van or suitable vehicle, unless otherwise agreed for an employed position
- Your own tools and PPE if working on a self-employed basis
- Public liability insurance if working as a self-employed subcontractor
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to travel between jobs
- Experience in property maintenance, repairs or multi-trade work
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to use a mobile phone or job-management system for updates and photographs
- A DBS check or willingness to complete one where required
- A reliable, professional and organised approach to work

Important information
Applicants may be considered for either an employed position or a self-employed subcontractor arrangement.
Self-employed subcontractors will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, insurance, business expenses and invoicing. CIS deductions will apply where legally required.
Employed applicants will be provided with employment terms setting out their pay, hours, responsibilities and applicable benefits.
All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Pay: £175.00-£250.00 per day
