As a machinist, you will be part of the sling creation team and will be responsible for completing required items efficiently and effectively as identified by the works order job sheets and according to the works instructions. You will check goods at all stages of production, to maintain quality and to complete quality records in line with the Company’s Quality Management System. Although you will start as a trainee machinist once trained there is a progression plan whereby you will move to a Trained Machinist and later on a Senior Machinist when you have gained enough experience.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce as specified on the job sheet
- To complete quality records as required
- To maintain the quality of the manufactured product to the standards outlined in the works instruction manual
- To appropriately operate and maintain the machinery in use
- To ensure performance targets are met
- To accurately record work done for efficiency and effectiveness monitoring
- To follow immediate supervisor's and manager's instructions
- To understand your responsibilities under the Quality Management System
- To take a responsibility for your own time management in line with Company Policy
- To carry out any other ad-hoc duties as the company may require
- Potential to progress through company structure
Competencies
- Previous Industrial sewing experience is required
