Hours
The role of Transport Administrator:
- Coordinating daily deliveries and collections across multiple depots
- Planning and optimising routes using transport planning systems (e.g. Maxoptra)
- Acting as main point of contact for drivers, resolving queries and issues
- Monitoring incoming orders and managing transport requirements
- Ensuring all orders are allocated to the correct depot
- Managing failed or incorrect orders and communicating updates
- Liaising with depot managers to resolve operational issues
- Tracking and reporting delivery performance and logging incidents
- Handling incoming calls and raising purchase orders
- Following health and safety and compliance procedures
The ideal Transport Administrator:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Previous transport or logistics experience preferred
- Good geographical knowledge desirable
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
