Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing our day-to-day financial health, delivering accurate financial reporting, and providing the commercial insights necessary to drive profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and comprehensive supporting financial reports.
- Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the absolute accuracy of all financial records.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning processes to secure the business's financial runway.
- Prepare and submit VAT and GC returns, ensuring strict adherence to HMRC compliance and reporting standards.
- Analyse financial performance, deep diving into the data to identify key opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide cross-functional financial analysis to guide and support operational and commercial decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and act as a key point of contact during audit processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, system automation and internal controls.
Qualifications & Experience:

Professional Certification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Systems: Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index/Match) and hands-on experience using mid-market accounting systems, specifically Sage 200 (or similar).

- Highly analytical with an uncompromising attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance departments.
