Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support to children and young people, encouraging their social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, educational tasks, and recreational pursuits
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that promotes learning and confidence
- Mentor individuals to develop life skills and independence
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support plans are effectively implemented
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Organise engaging activities that promote learning and socialisation
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Teaching experience or background is advantageous but not essential
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings or weekends if required
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or social care are preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive approach with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
