What You'll Be Doing
As an Industrial Cleaning Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading industrial cleaning operatives and subcontractors across a range of customer sites. Reporting into the management team, you'll ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising industrial cleaning operatives and subcontractors on site
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed by employees under your supervision
- Promoting company values, safe working practices and operational standards
- Planning and organising works to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Liaising directly with customers during operational activities
- Reviewing, understanding and communicating work instructions, including:
- Permits to Work
- Risk Assessments
- Method Statements
- COSHH Assessments
- Toolbox Talks
- Site Procedures
- Monitoring work quality and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Managing subcontractor performance and site activities
- Maintaining site security and control of vehicles, equipment and plant
- Monitoring operative progress and resolving operational issues
- Keeping accurate daily operational records and reports
- Completing and maintaining administrative systems and documentation
- Carrying out inspections of vehicles, plant, equipment and site materials
- Ensuring all site assets are maintained and inspected appropriately
- Representing RED Industries professionally at all times
People Management Responsibilities
A key part of this role is supporting and developing your team. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing Industrial Cleaning Operatives
- Managing performance through coaching, feedback and regular communication
- Supporting employee development through on-the-job training and mentoring
- Assisting with onboarding and induction activities when required
- Working closely with HR and Training teams to support retention and development
- Maintaining personnel and training records
- Promoting company policies and ensuring they are consistently followed across the team
- Supporting capability and performance management processes where required
Who We're Looking For:
Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience supervising or leading operational teams
- Industrial cleaning experience
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within industrial environments
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
