Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across our cafe. This role offers flexible hours and can be carried out at any point in the evening after the cafe closes, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional environment.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting light equipment or supplies.
