Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Barista/Supervisor to join our team at the Pontcanna Milk&Sugar location. This role combines expert coffee-making skills with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness throughout the café
- Supervise daily operations, including opening, closing, and shift management
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Oversee food preparation tasks, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Manage stock levels, place orders when necessary, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Experience
- Proven barista experience with high volume experience for weekends.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a café or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Skilled in serving customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
