An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Sports Labs Limited, a multi-discipline testing laboratory specialising in the testing of sports surfaces and sports systems.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contract Administrator to support our Field Department, with a primary focus on the delivery of services within the Football Foundation Framework contracts. The successful candidate will also support the wider Sports Labs field team across a range of testing and operational activities.
This is a key administrative and coordination role requiring excellent communication, strong organisational ability, and excellent attention to detail. The position involves regular liaison with internal teams, clients, and field technicians to ensure testing operations run efficiently and projects are delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating the scheduling and logistics of field testing teams across the UK
- Creating and managing jobs using in-house scheduling software
- Maintaining accurate project records and tracking progress of ongoing work
- Regular communication with clients and stakeholders via phone and email to confirm testing schedules and requirements
- Reviewing, checking, and issuing technical reports prior to final sign-off
- Maintaining information within company databases, CRM systems, and scheduling software
- Assisting with general administration for the Field Department
- Issuing job numbers and ensuring all relevant documentation is correctly recorded and filed
- Supporting travel and accommodation bookings for field staff where required
- Assisting with quotations, purchase orders, and other project-related documentation
- Working within the requirements of the company’s ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality systems
- Providing occasional cover for general administration and telephone answering
Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and scheduling abilities
- Experience managing logistics and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing technical documentation and reports
- Strong administration and project tracking skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team
