About the role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team.
You will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers, ensuring deliveries arrive on time and products are handled with care. The role also involves loading and unloading goods, completing delivery paperwork and providing a professional service to customers at each location.
Applicants must have held a valid driving licence for at least 12 months and should be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including regular lifting and loading.
The role may involve early starts and/or late finishes and occasional overnight stays may be required for longer-distance routes, so flexibility with working hours is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles while completing scheduled deliveries.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Deliver goods accurately and on time to customer locations.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Complete delivery records and any required documentation accurately.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks before and during shifts.
- Report vehicle defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow road traffic regulations, health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- A valid driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
- A good driving record.
- Previous delivery, commercial driving or similar experience preferred.
- Comfortable undertaking manual handling and lifting as part of the role.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Able to manage delivery schedules and work independently.
- Flexible regarding early starts and occasional late finishes.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices.
Pay: £104.00-£182.00 per day
