DOMESTIC WORKER
A Domestic Worker’s role is to ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the Home. To keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each client. This is particularly applicable to each client’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each client’s personal possessions.
Duties Include but are not restricted to:
1. You are directly responsible to the Senior Support Workers and the Management.
2. To Clean all allocated rooms including, furniture, dusting ceilings, fittings, carpets, picture frames, en suite bathrooms
3. Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance staff and/or management.
4. Take part in staff meetings and training activities when required.
5. Change towels and bed linen when required.
6. Properly maintain cleaning equipment and make necessary routine checks.
7. Keep the laundry clean and tidy; this includes regularly emptying the dryer of lint, and cleaning the laundry powder dispensers on the laundry machines.
8. Take out the rubbish and used incontinence pads to the identified disposal area.
9. Some laundry duties as required.
10. Clean and sanitize.
11. Report and deal with any pest infestation where possible.
12. Be aware of any health and safety issues and CO SHH Statements.
13. To clean up any spills and litter and/or upholstery and carpets when necessary. Please ensure that you use the proper signage to identify those areas cleaned that may be an immediate slip hazard.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Pay: £12.72 per hour
