We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Counter Support
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain product displays and ensure the sales area is tidy, organised, and well stocked.
Warehousing
- Receive, check, and process incoming stock and materials.
- Organise and store inventory safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Prepare customer orders for delivery or collection, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Delivery Driving
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver building materials to customers.
- Complete deliveries accurately and on time, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
Requirements
- Basic IT skills would be an advantage.
- Previous experience within a builders’ merchant or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of building materials and products would be beneficial.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Information
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business and develop a broad range of skills.
The successful candidate may also be required to work at other company branches, including Doncaster, Immingham, Hull, and Gunness, as business needs require.
