Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and land surveying, along with excellent project management capabilities. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant software
- Coordinate land surveying activities and interpret survey data to inform project planning and execution
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets in collaboration with project managers
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to environmental standards
- Liaise with contractors, clients, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues promptly
- Assist in the development of detailed project documentation including reports, schedules, and technical specifications
- Utilise GIS tools such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping tasks relevant to land development projects
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD systems for system design and schematics creation
- Strong knowledge of land surveying techniques and tools
- Experience with GIS applications such as ArcGIS for spatial data management
- Solid understanding of construction processes and project management principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system designs accurately
- Competence in mathematical calculations using Mathcad or similar tools for engineering analysis
- Familiarity with civil engineering standards and safety regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders in a professional manner
