London | £30,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (£30,000)
Healthcare is constantly evolving, with new treatments, technologies and clinical breakthroughs emerging every day. Behind many of these innovations are organisations looking to educate healthcare professionals, raise awareness of new therapies and connect with the right audiences.
We're recruiting a Graduate Sales Development Representative to join an award-winning healthcare publishing and medical communications business that partners with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations.
This isn't a transactional sales role.
You'll become a specialist within your own therapy area, developing an understanding of the disease landscape, key pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals and upcoming medical congresses. Your role is to identify commercial opportunities, engage senior stakeholders and generate qualified meetings that help clients deliver educational content to the clinicians who need it most.
The Role
As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you'll be responsible for building relationships with senior decision-makers across pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations.
Using research, outbound calling, email campaigns and LinkedIn, you'll identify organisations that could benefit from advertising, educational partnerships and bespoke medical communication solutions.
Working alongside experienced Sales Executives, you'll play a key role in building the commercial pipeline while developing into a healthcare sales specialist yourself.
What You'll Be Doing
- Becoming the commercial expert within a dedicated therapy area, developing knowledge of disease states, treatments and key market players.
- Researching pharmaceutical companies and identifying new commercial opportunities.
- Prospecting senior stakeholders including Marketing Directors, Medical Affairs teams and Commercial Leads.
- Generating qualified meetings through consultative outbound activity.
- Building long-term relationships with prospective clients through tailored conversations.
- Supporting the commercial team ahead of major international medical congresses and industry events.
- Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Working closely with Sales Executives to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for ambitious graduates who enjoy speaking with people and are motivated by both career progression and financial reward.
You'll thrive if you are:
- Naturally inquisitive and enjoy learning about new industries.
- Confident communicating with senior professionals.
- Resilient and motivated by targets.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Commercially minded with a genuine interest in business development.
- Coachable and always looking to improve.
Previous experience in sales, recruitment, customer service, fundraising or hospitality is advantageous but not essential. Full product, industry and sales training will be provided.
What's On Offer?
- £30,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission with realistic first-year earnings of £30,000
- Structured onboarding and ongoing commercial training
- The opportunity to specialise within your own healthcare therapy area
- Exposure to global pharmaceutical organisations and industry-leading brands
- Regular coaching and personalised development plans
- Clear progression into Business Development and Sales Executive positions
- A collaborative, high-performing culture that rewards ambition and results
Why Apply?
This is a rare opportunity to combine
consultative B2B sales, healthcare, publishing and commercial strategy in one role.
Rather than making cold calls all day, you'll build genuine industry expertise, become a trusted commercial contact within your specialist therapy area and develop a career with one of the most respected businesses in healthcare publishing.
If you're looking for a graduate sales opportunity where you'll learn a specialist market, work with global pharmaceutical companies and build a long-term commercial career, we'd love to hear from you.
