Sourdough Baker
Location: MOR Bakery HQ, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire

Working with flour from some of the finest local millers, we produce naturally fermented sourdough using traditional methods, long fermentation and careful attention to every stage of the process. As we continue to grow, we're looking for passionate bakers to join our bakery team in Chipping Campden.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys artisan baking and wants to be part of producing exceptional bread every day.
You'll be involved throughout the sourdough process, from mixing and fermentation through to shaping, baking and quality control, helping to maintain the standards that MOR Bakery has become known for.
Typical shifts fall between 4.00am and 3.00pm, depending on your role within the production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Produce a range of artisan sourdough breads to the highest standard.
- Manage doughs through every stage of fermentation, shaping and baking.
- Bake a wide range of breads and other bakery products.
- Follow both traditional techniques and established bakery recipes.
- Work with the team to develop seasonal specials and new products.
- Maintain consistently high standards of quality and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient management.
- Keep the bakery clean, organised and fully compliant with food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the wider bakery team to ensure smooth daily production.
About You
- Previous bakery experience is preferred, particularly with artisan or sourdough bread, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- A genuine passion for artisan baking and naturally fermented bread.
- Comfortable working early morning shifts.
- Good understanding of baking processes and ingredients.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Positive, reliable and keen to learn.
- Food Hygiene certification is advantageous but not essential.
