This is an excellent opportunity for a Contract Lawyer at Senior Associate to join our Document Review and Collation (DRC) team in a substantive, client-facing role, offering the opportunity to contribute at a senior level within a growing specialist function.
The DRC team provides multi-disciplinary expertise and scalable legal resource to support all TLT legal groups when delivering large-scale projects and legal managed services for our clients. The team is made up of qualified Solicitors and Paralegals and plays a critical role in supporting both contentious and non-contentious workstreams across the firm, working predominantly on data subject access requests (DSARs), document review and disclosure exercises.
We work across a wide range of matters - from short, focused tasks to complex, high-volume project-based engagements requiring the coordination of dedicated teams over several months. As the team continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Contract Senior Associate who will take ownership of key workflows, lead delivery on client matters, and provide senior-level support within the DRC team.
This is not simply a document review role. You will take a lead role in advising internal client teams, managing and overseeing discrete and multi-layered workstreams, and providing technical guidance and supervision to Paralegals and apprentices within the team. You will also contribute to maintaining quality standards and supporting the effective delivery of projects within a specialist legal operations environment.
The assignment is expected to last 6 months and will be engaged on a highly competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience, via Umbrella Company. The role will be hybrid, our core DRC team is based in our Bristol office. We will also consider candidates based in our Manchester office. We offer flexible hybrid working, with 50% office attendance required for this role.

You will work across a number of different practice groups, sectors and specialisms, with the majority of your work falling within the following areas:

- Applying a strong working knowledge of data protection principles, including interpretation of personal data and exemptions
- Supporting the delivery of training and guidance to team members on data protection concepts
Document Review and eDiscovery
- Leading across key stages of the eDiscovery lifecycle, including platform setup, workflow management, quality control and review strategy
- Overseeing document review projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and quality standards
- Managing review workflows and monitoring performance to meet project deadlines
- Providing eDiscovery support and guidance to internal stakeholders and, where required, external clients
Project and Team Leadership
- Acting as a key liaison between project teams and client teams, communicating updates, risks and findings clearly and professionally
- Supporting the effective delivery of workflows across the DRC function in line with business needs
- Providing day-to-day guidance and supervision to Paralegals and Graduate Solicitor Apprentices
- Contributing to the maintenance of consistent processes and quality standards across the team
Skills & Experience
- A qualified Solicitor, typically with 4–7 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience using Relativity or a comparable document review platform
- Experience managing workstreams and engaging with internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise clearly and confidently
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
