Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures on-site and in workshops. Responsibilities
- Fabricate bespoke joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Assemble structures using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Install fitted furniture, doors, windows, roofing components, and other wooden structures on-site
- Assist with roofing tasks, including sheathing and support installation
- Support plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks where applicable, collaborating with specialists
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Follow project timelines and communicate progress effectively with team membersRequirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery work
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders)
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, construction painting, plumbing, masonry or electrical experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential
