Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing and construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality wooden components, assisting with various joinery tasks, and supporting the assembly of bespoke furniture and fixtures. Responsibilities
- Fabricate wooden components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment safely and effectively
- Assemble furniture, fixtures, or bespoke woodwork items with precision
- Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, sanding, and finishing wood materials
- Working with Hardwoods, softwoods and veneering to a high standard
- Handle heavy lifting safely to move materials or completed components within the workshop or site
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during operations
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or carpentry roles; previous joinery experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, sanders, routers, and saws
- Knowledge of joinery techniques and construction methods related to furniture making or bespoke woodwork
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during work shifts
- Strong attention to detail combined with organisational skills to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Work independently to deadlines
