Caretaker – Hillsborough, Sheffield

Shift: 07:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Temporary Cover
Training Dates: 11th & 14th September 2026
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Caretaker to provide temporary cover at a busy site in Hillsborough, Sheffield.
This is a customer-facing position, so applicants must have good spoken English, strong communication skills and be comfortable dealing with staff, visitors and members of the public.
Training
The successful candidate will complete on-site training with the existing member of staff on:
- Friday 11th September
- Monday 14th September
Cover Dates
You must be available to work 07:30am – 4:30pm on the following dates:
15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 28th, 29th and 30th September 2026.
Duties will include:
- General caretaker duties across the site
- Opening, checking and maintaining communal areas
- Carrying out basic site and facilities checks
- Ensuring areas are clean, tidy and presentable
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues
- Assisting with general site requirements
- Dealing professionally with staff, visitors and customers
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site
Requirements:
- Previous caretaker, facilities or similar experience would be beneficial
- Good spoken English is essential due to the customer-facing nature of the role
- Professional and approachable manner
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Must be available for the training and cover dates listed above
