Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking HGV technician/yard operative to join our growing team. You will be responsible for assisting in maintaining our fleet of Volvo/Scania tractor units and walking floor trailers and the cleanliness and organisation of the yard ensuring that all materials and equipment are stored safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in supporting the overall operations of our facility by keeping the yard in optimal condition Your role will also include from time to time going on call outs in one of our fleet support vans for breakdowns.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Maintenance across our fleet of vehicles
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard area.
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks as needed.
- operate forklifts to move items around the yard safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their needs in the yard.
Skills
- Proficient in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Experience within the HGV industry
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety practices.
