We're recruiting on behalf of a premium residential care provider seeking an outstanding Regional Director to lead a portfolio of care homes across Yorkshire & the Midlands. This is an opportunity to join a provider that prides itself on delivering first-class care, five-star hospitality and an unrivalled experience for residents and their families across its homes.
We're looking for a proven multisite leader who understands the private pay market, knows how to build and retain exceptional teams and management structures, and has a demonstrable track record of driving occupancy and commercial performance across multiple sites.
The Role
As Regional Director, you'll have full operational, commercial and clinical oversight of a portfolio of care homes, ideally having managed a portfolio of five or more homes previously. You'll lead a team of Registered Managers, creating a positive culture across the region where residents receive exceptional care, colleagues feel valued and supported, and each home continues to thrive within its local market.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll be responsible for driving occupancy and premium fee levels across the portfolio, developing and supporting your Registered Managers, and ensuring every home consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong operational leadership across a portfolio of care homes, supporting and holding Registered Managers to account for performance and quality.
- Drive occupancy across the portfolio through effective marketing, relationship building and local networking, ensuring each home remains the provider of choice within its area.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain private fee-paying residents while maintaining strong weekly fee rates across all homes.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care that exceeds CQC standards across the portfolio.
- Build trusted relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders across multiple sites.
- Manage regional budgets and resources effectively, ensuring strong commercial performance alongside excellent care outcomes.
- Recruit, coach and develop Registered Managers and senior home teams, building a strong leadership pipeline across the region.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations across all homes, leading continuous quality improvement initiatives at a regional level.
- Travel regularly across the Yorkshire & Midlands region to provide visible, hands-on leadership.
About You
To be successful, you'll be an experienced multisite care leader with a strong blend of operational excellence, commercial awareness and people leadership.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in a multisite management role, overseeing multiple care homes, ideally a portfolio of five or more.
- A strong track record of driving occupancy within high-end, private pay care homes.
- Experience working within the private pay market, with a strong understanding of attracting self-funded residents and maintaining premium weekly fees.
- A genuine passion for developing Registered Managers and building high-performing, engaged and stable teams across a region.
- A history of supporting homes to achieve Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing multi-site budgets and driving profitability.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
