You’ll support the Financial Controller and Finance Director in delivering accurate and timely financial information, contributing to monthly management accounts and helping the business make informed decisions.
This is a hands-on role with real variety, and an opportunity to help shape how the role evolves over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Post journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
- Perform balance sheet and supplier reconciliations
- Support variance analysis and provide commentary
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Product costing reviews and analysis
- Support audit requirements and ensure compliance
- Contribute to improving financial processes, controls and reporting
About You

What’s important is that you bring:
- Experience in a finance or accounts role
- Qualified by experience or studies completed to Level 3, or equivalent in, AAT, ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g. Sage)
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience in standard costing, overhead recovery and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
- Attention to detail and a reliable, organised approach
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to improve processes

Salary
- circa £36,000 FTE (pro rata)
- Aligned with the Sheffield market, depending on experience and level of qualification.
