Salary - £48,000 per annum
Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Facilities to join our team and play a key role in keeping our hospital safe, well-maintained and running smoothly. You will also be part of an on-call rota.
Priory Hospital Bristol, Stapleton, Bristol is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service for individuals, families and couples. It provides fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Stapleton and Bristol Parkway railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the hospital.
This is a varied leadership role where you’ll take ownership of everything from facilities management, health and safety and compliance through to contractors, budgets, maintenance and capital projects. You’ll be a visible presence across the hospital, building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external partners and helping to drive continuous improvements across the hospital.
As part of the role you will:
- Lead and manage all Estates & Facilities services, including Maintenance, Housekeeping, Catering, Reception and Administration, ensuring high standards across the hospital.
- Oversee budgets, contractors and capital projects, ensuring works, maintenance and improvements are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Take ownership of Health & Safety, compliance and building standards, carrying out regular checks and ensuring the hospital meets all regulatory and Priory requirements.
- Lead, develop and support the wider Facilities team, building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers while playing an active role within the Hospital Senior Management Team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within hospitality or healthcare, with a strong track record of senior leadership and direct line management. You’ll also ideally have a Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH, along with experience of budget management and strong communication skills.
