Commis Chef
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year
Dorian is looking for a passionate and switched-on Commis Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role is ideal for someone who has built a solid foundation in a professional kitchen and is ready to learn quickly, work hard and develop alongside an ambitious brigade.
You will be supported by experienced chefs, but this is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their prep, wants to understand great ingredients and is excited by the pace and standards of a busy restaurant kitchen.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting chefs with daily preparation and service
- Producing prep to recipe, specification and presentation standards
- Keeping your station clean, organised and ready for service
- Learning kitchen systems, techniques and the Dorian way of working
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and food storage
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Building confidence across different sections as you develop
What we’re looking for
- Previous professional kitchen experience
- A genuine interest in food, produce and cooking
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good organisation, reliability and attention to detail
- A positive attitude during busy services
- Someone who wants to progress into a Chef de Partie role over time
You will be joining a kitchen that takes quality seriously while investing in the development of its people.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
