Warehouse Operative — New Hailsham Distribution Centre
40 hours per week · Full-time, Permanent
Alliance South East is one of the UK's leading distributors of non-food products to the hotel, leisure, hospitality and catering sectors. As part of our continued growth, we're opening a brand-new distribution centre in Hailsham and expanding our warehouse team. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we establish our new depot and become part of a growing, employee-owned business.
The Role
You'll help ensure our customers receive the right products, on time and in full by:
- Booking in and checking goods received
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Loading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Replenishing warehouse stock
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting other warehouse activities as required
Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
We operate a range of shift patterns to support our customers, including day shifts and afternoon/evening shifts. Exact working hours will be discussed during the recruitment process, so flexibility to work different shift patterns is desirable.
What You'll Need
- A reliable, positive attitude and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- A team-focused approach and willingness to support different areas of the warehouse
- A commitment to following health & safety procedures and company standards
- Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- A forklift licence or previous forklift experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns as the operation continues to grow
