Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a lively restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Experience with guest services, including upselling techniques, is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
