Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Candidates with experience in early childhood education, nursery settings, or childcare are highly encouraged to apply. A person with some experience of the Welsh Language would be preferred, however a willingness to learn is essential.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care and support tailored to each child's developmental needs
- Organise and supervise engaging activities that promote learning and socialisation
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure consistent care
- Manage daily routines including meal times, toileting and play sessions
- Assist with planning educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards
Requirements
- Relevant childcare qualification
- Proven experience in childcare, nursery work, or early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written and some knowledge of the Welsh language
- Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
- Ability to organise activities that are engaging, safe, and educationally enriching
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in child development and wellbeing
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or requirements within the childcare setting

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
