Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate self-employed Science Tutor to join our Alternative Provision educational team for flexible hours during the day in school term times.
The tutoring is face to face.
The ideal candidate will have a background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with teenagers, including those with special educational needs.
This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their goals.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one tutoring tailored to the needs of the student.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that address specific learning objectives.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with us regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with an understanding of educational principles.
- Experience working with children is essential
- Working with students with special educational needs is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families.
- Strong organisational skills to manage lesson planning and student records efficiently.
