Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has time and enthusiasm, who can join us as we expand and develop the courses we have to offer?
We are looking to recruit Support Assistants/Teaching Assistants on a sessional basis to cover adult learning classes in the Carlisle area. This is an opportunity to really make a difference to people`s lives and will be hugely rewarding to the right candidate.
Cumbria Adult Learning, rated Good by Ofsted, delivers community learning and skills provision both face to face and online. Our service is focused on provision which transforms the lives of our most disadvantaged communities, enhances employment opportunities, and meets the needs of local employers.
Our service works with learners of all abilities and with skills levels from absolute beginner to intermediate and beyond, you will need to demonstrate the ability to teach to meet a range of learning styles and support learners with diverse needs.
Who we are looking for…
Successful candidates will be experienced Teaching Assistants with knowledge of preparing and developing resources for learning activities and supporting learners on a 1:1 basis inside the classroom. Classes may include GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics and English; ESOL, Employability and LLDD.
The post is to cover daytime and evening classes for adult learners.
