What is MEplace?
At MEplace, we are on a mission to raise awareness about the importance of mental and physical health in the early years. We do this in two ways: knowledge and practice. We empower parents around the world with our knowledge app to navigate the complex world of child development. Meanwhile, at our family-oriented nursery, we practice what we preach, caring for our teachers and enabling their skills through technology, organic food, and a feedback-led culture.
Where do you fit in?
We are looking for someone who will be involved in the day-to-day operations of our nurseries based in Islington, Kings Cross, Hackney Wick & Battersea. You'll contribute to our collective, long-term goal of collaborating with parents to raise healthy, happy, and emotionally empowered children. Working alongside our nursery team, you will play an active role in building meaningful relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
What does your day to day look like?
- Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where all children feel a sense of belonging
- Supervising and leading children through their daily schedule and activity sessions
- Overseeing and supporting children, paying attention to their well-being and needs
- Engaging warmly with the children and parents and supporting colleagues in their roles
- Contributing to observations and the assessment of children's learning and development
- Ensuring daily, weekly and quarterly feedback is shared through our app
- Providing 360 degrees feedback and working in partnership with the nursery team to continually improve the nursery experience
Who you are?
- You have a love for children
- Have experience working in Early Years
- Holds a relevant qualification (minimum Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education qualified)
- Is a great team player with a positive perspective
- Has strong emotional intelligence and communication skills
- Is resourceful and conscious of avoidable waste
- Is a reliable individual, capable of adapting quickly to changing environments and the needs of children, parents and colleagues
