Looking for a Mentor / Support Worker (Amber Valley, Derbyshire)

We are looking for a Support Worker/Mentor to work with two neurodivergent young men (aged 16 and 18) on their EOTAS (Education Otherwise Than At School) programmes.
This role is all about building genuine connections, advocacy and sharing interests:
- The 16-year-old loves D&D, gaming, and wants a mentor to support him in planning exciting, safe community trips centred around shared hobbies and interests. He thrives on building a strong, authentic bond.
- The 18-year-old likes racquet sports and bouldering, and he wants a mentor who can give him some friendly competition, but who will also bring fresh ideas to the table to help him expand where he goes and what he engages in.
Location: Amber Valley area - the role is split between supporting the young people in their home and out in the community.
The Role & Hours:
- Setup: The work will mostly be 1:1 with each young person, with occasionally 1:2 for joint activities and trips out.
- Supporting their tailored EOTAS packages, mentoring, and building strong, consistent relationships.
- Being a strong advocate for them and working alongside a wider professional team, which includes attending and contributing to regular team meetings.
- Hours: We want to start with introductory hours and scale up as you and the young people build a solid relationship and get on well together. The post is all year-round and can be employed or self-employed.
About You:
- Experience with neurodivergent young people (personal lived experience or professional) who are out of a standard education setting.
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle with business insurance.

Pay: From £26 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and skills) + mileage and expenses + paid training hours.
