- Preparing fresh food and ingredients in line with menu requirements and food safety standards
- Assisting with the preparation of breakfasts, lunches, sandwiches, snacks, and takeaway orders
- Handling and storing food safely, following hygiene procedures and allergen requirements
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Serving customers with a friendly and professional approach, taking orders and processing payments
- Providing excellent customer service in a busy takeaway environment
- Preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently during busy periods
- Receiving and checking deliveries, ensuring stock is stored correctly
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock rotation and ordering requirements
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, serving areas and equipment
- Completing daily cleaning tasks including surfaces, utensils, equipment and waste disposal
- Following opening and closing procedures
- Working as part of a small team to ensure smooth day-to-day café operations
- Supporting with general café duties as required
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Experience:
- Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
