Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team at Metal Recycling Weymouth. Based in Weymouth, this role is vital in supporting our metal and vehicle recycling operations by efficiently handling materials and ensuring smooth logistics. Your contribution will help us maintain our commitment to sustainable recycling and community service.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the facility.
- Load and unload vehicles with recycled metals and parts.
- Ensure the site is swept daily and all material organised.
- Manage warehouse stock using our management systems.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct basic mechanical checks on equipment.
- Support shipping and receiving activities.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure workplace.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely.
- Good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous experience in metal or vehicle recycling is a plus.
