Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part Time Night Porter to join our hospitality team. This vital role ensures the safety, security, and smooth operation of our property during overnight hours. As a Night Porter, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving late or during the night, providing exceptional guest services while maintaining a secure environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests arriving during night hours, ensuring a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the premises to maintain safety and security standards.
- Monitor CCTV systems and perform visual inspections to identify any irregularities or potential issues.
- Manage incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Handle guest requests efficiently, providing information about hotel services and local amenities.
- Maintain security logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
- Perform nightly cleaning tasks in public areas
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the property remains secure and well-maintained throughout the night.
- Any other tasks requested by senior management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest service abilities.
- Ability to remain alert, vigilant, and proactive during overnight shifts.
- Knowledge of basic security procedures, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response protocols is advantageous.
- Hospitality experience or familiarity with guest services enhances your suitability for this role.
