Hours: Part-time, 3–4 days per week, up to 30 hours.
Great Cornish Food Store is looking for a friendly, confident and food-loving Café Team Member to join our award-winning food hall in Truro. You’ll work in our café, serving customers, making great coffee, showcasing fantastic Cornish produce and helping create a welcoming, high-quality customer experience.

What you’ll be doing
· Making and serving hot and cold drinks, including barista coffees using Origin ethically sourced coffee.
· Serving customers in the café, taking orders, clearing tables and offering helpful product advice.
· Preparing and presenting café products to a consistently high standard.
· Creating attractive, well-presented café displays.
· Opening and closing the café counter.
· Working with the kitchen team to maintain stock levels, maximise sales and reduce waste.
What we’re looking for
· Barista experience, ideally at least one year.
· A genuine love of food and interest in Cornish produce.
· Confidence working with customers and delivering excellent service.
· A positive team player who communicates well and stays focused under pressure.
· Willingness to learn, take instruction and develop skills.
· Good personal presentation, organisation and attention to detail.
· Food Hygiene training or knowledge would be an advantage.

Working pattern
The business operates 7 days a week, so weekend and Bank Holiday work is required and shared on a rota. Standard shifts are usually 7.5 hours, with total hours up to 30 per week. There are no split shifts.
