The job:
Installation of a range of fires including wood burning, solid fuel stoves, electric fires, fire surrounds and hearths.
Working at height installing new cowls, chimney pots & cement flaunching.
Chimney repairs and rebuilds.
Preparing site ready for installation, including carrying materials and maintaining cleanliness.
You will be responsible for ensuring that fireplaces are installed safely and efficiently, providing customers with a warm and inviting atmosphere in their homes
You must be able to:
Be able to follow instructions as well as using your own initiative.
Work to building regulations and to the companies and customers level of expectation.
You will be working within customers home, so good customer service and be able to keep the site clean and tidy.
We are looking for someone who is a team player, honest, reliable, able to undertake physically demanding work, has a positive and flexible attitude, good customer interaction skills, a practical mind and excellent communication skills.
Duties;
- Construct, assemble, and repair structures using various materials such as wood, metal, and masonry.
- Happy to work at heights on ladders
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Painting duties as required for specific projects.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Roofing tasks, including installation and repairs.
- Fabricate components as needed for custom projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
- The work can be physically demanding and involve working outdoors in all weathers
Skills that would be advantageous to the role;
- Proven experience in the industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Experience with painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and carpentry is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
- A valid driver's licence required for transportation to various job sites is essential.
- Practical building skills, e.g. masonry work, plastering, roofing, carpentry.
- Positive and practical attitude to work.
- Good customer service skills.
- Being able to plan logically and according.
- Good time keeping skills.
Full training will be provided for the successful applicant
