We're currently recruiting on behalf of a Manchester-based client that partners with a range of well-known charities, expanding its face-to-face sales team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and developing valuable skills in communication, fundraising, and engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Sales Assistant, you'll represent well-known charity campaigns directly within residential communities and local neighbourhoods throughout Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is a customer-facing role where you'll raise awareness of each charity's cause, build relationships with residents, and support them through the decision to give. You'll learn how to communicate a charity's mission confidently, handle questions and objections, and create positive experiences that lead to new and ongoing donations.
Day to Day
Each day you'll be out representing one of the well-known charities on our books, engaging with residents across Manchester's neighbourhoods.
- Introducing yourself to people and explaining the charity's cause, mission, and current campaign
- Sharing real examples of the charity's impact and answering questions about how donations are used
- Signing up new supporters as regular donors or securing one-off contributions
- Building trust quickly and representing the charity professionally, since you're often the public face of that cause for the day
- Handling hesitation or objections with empathy, adapting your approach to different people and situations
- Logging conversations and sign-ups, and tracking your progress against personal and team targets
- Taking part in daily briefings and debriefs with your team, plus ongoing training in fundraising conversations, storytelling, and objection handling

Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, sport, fundraising, or other people-facing environments can be beneficial but is not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Total earnings range between £1,935 - £2000 per calendar month, made up of a base salary plus uncapped performance-based commission (subject to successful completion of a four-week probationary period).
