We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life by assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and the safe use of mobility equipment.
- Support clients with eating, drinking, and meal preparation.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and training.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health, wellbeing, or behaviour.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Maintain accurate care records and complete required documentation.
- Follow individual care plans and work closely with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Adhere to health and safety, infection prevention, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in health or social care is desirable but not essential, as full training may be provided.
- Caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering person-centred care.
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care) are advantageous.
