Overview
We are looking for an organised, proactive and reliable Operations & Compliance Coordinator to join our busy scaffolding company office in Exeter.
This is a varied and important role supporting the day-to-day running of our scaffolding operations. You will work closely with management, supervisors, scaffolders, drivers, clients, site teams and suppliers to ensure jobs are properly organised and all necessary paperwork, compliance requirements and company records are kept accurate and up to date.
The role includes preparing RAMS and compliance documentation, writing quotations, maintaining scaffold inspection and handover records, monitoring operative training and qualifications, coordinating vehicle maintenance and fleet records, assisting with job scheduling and using our company management software to maintain job and customer information.
The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced construction environment, have excellent attention to detail and be able to manage multiple jobs, deadlines and priorities.
Duties
- Preparing RAMS & compliance paperwork
- Writing customer quotations
- Using our company job management software
- Organising scaffold handover & inspection records
- Keeping track of CISRS cards and training
- Helping manage the daily/weekly works schedule
- Managing vehicle MOT, servicing & maintenance schedules
- Timesheets, POs and general job paperwork
- Liaising with customers, sites, scaffolders and suppliers
- General operations and office support
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and cross-team collaboration
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in compliance tracking and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization’s industry
- Experience in quality assurance practices and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a focus on risk mitigation
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulations or operational needs
Previous scaffolding or construction experience would be a big advantage, but it’s not essential if you’re organised, confident, good with computers and willing to learn.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, keep on top of deadlines and become an important part of our team.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
