We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic HGV Class 2 Vacuum Tanker Driver to join our team at Rob Beale Ltd.
Established in 1986, we're a family-run business serving customers across Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and the surrounding areas. We take pride in providing a great service and looking after our staff, many of whom have been with us for years.
Experience is always welcome, but it's not essential. If you've got the right attitude, enjoy working outdoors and aren't afraid to get stuck in, we'll provide all the training and support you need.
About the Role
As a Vacuum Tanker Driver, you'll be visiting customers at homes, farms, businesses and construction sites to empty septic tanks, cesspits and sewage treatment plants.
No two days are the same. You'll spend your time out on the road, meeting customers and providing an essential service that keeps everything running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Driving and operating a modern HGV Class 2 vacuum tanker
- Emptying septic tanks, cesspits and sewage treatment plants
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Operating pumps, hoses and tanker equipment safely
- Completing job sheets
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Following health, safety and environmental procedures
- Working closely with the office team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
What We're Looking For
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and use your initiative
- A practical, hands-on approach to work
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Previous tanker, drainage or waste industry experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.
