Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen management team, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the development of junior staff. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing mentorship to junior chefs.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise waste.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive food production knowledge with a strong focus on quality control.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Solid kitchen experience across various cuisines and styles of service.
- Strong culinary background complemented by hospitality industry knowledge.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable within the UK hospitality sector.
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across different roles such as serving or assisting front-of-house teams is advantageous. Pay: £29,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
