Mechanical Technician
Due to continued growth our client based near Cambridge who manufacture specialist processing equipment have an opportunity for competent individuals to join their production team on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Follow manufacturing/quality procedures and standards
- Assemble small bore tubing and associated mechanical components
- Meet production schedules
- Competency in the use of hand tools: Vernier callipers, pipe cutters and benders
Person Specification
- Ability to read technical drawings essential and must be able to follow clear and precise procedures/instructions
- Demonstrate attention to detail and capable of working to precise tolerances
- Mechanical aptitude is important, and a strong mechanical qualification/background would be advantageous
- Experience of working in clean room protocol, testing/inspection of equipment useful
- Good communication/Team skills essential
- Practical training will be given therefore candidates must be capable of learning and adapting to working practices
Hours of Work and Pay
- Salary: £27,430 per annum
- Day shift - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm Friday 8am to 12.30pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- 28 days annual leave inc. bank holidays
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Free parking on site
