Large Format Print Operator
Bishops Stortford
Salary up to £16 p/h
Shift times 06:00 – 20:00 (13.5 hours) with shorter shifts on Fri/Sat (06:00 – 19:00)
2 days on 2 days off (rotating week 1 M/Tu/F/Sa, week 2 W/Th)
Role Overview
You will be responsible for accurately producing print work in line with job specifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect and process work sent down from the repro/print department;
- Ensure that the work is sized correctly, and the appropriate correction curve is applied;
- QC to job requirements;
- Maintain and process work according to the production schedule;
- Notify the supervisor/manager when a major issue is encountered;
- Problem solve minor issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department;
- Maintain the machinery to manufacturers recommendations;
- Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy
- Select the correct media profile then rip the job to be printed (training will be given if needed).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Thorough knowledge of large format print production practices and processes;
- Experience with HP Flatbeds, Agfa, Durst is preferable but not essential;
- Understanding Windows Operating systems
- Operational experience with print;
- Demonstrable attention to detail;
- Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious;
- Flexible and effective team member.
