Mental Health Services Urgent Care and Access Pathway has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner with an interest and/or experience in the criminal justice system, and substantial mental health experience to join the Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Service.
The service operates from police custody and court, which directly engages and supports vulnerable people going through criminal justice system.
You will be working with both adults and young people, within what is a very interesting and rewarding area of care that is continuing to develop. As a front-line service, each day can be different in what can be a busy and unpredictable environment.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, the post holder will have clinical responsibilities across the service and be able to supervise junior staff.
The post is open to experienced practitioners from a variety of disciplines including mental health nursing, social work, and occupational therapy who are passionate and motivated.
This role operates over a seven day week covering various shifts ranging from 7.5 hour to 12.5 hours. The services this role would operate in include: Custody, Magistrates Court, Outreach and the Triage Car. The role may be required to travel between Police Stations and community venues within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
