Build the Future of Eyewear Retail
Most e-commerce businesses sell products but at Specscart, we’re solving one of the most complicated customer journeys in retail.
Buying prescription glasses today is unnecessarily complicated. Customers need to understand prescriptions, lens options, coatings, measurements, PDs, frame sizing and hundreds of product combinations before they even reach the checkout.
We believe that shouldn’t be the case. And the mission is simple:
To make buying prescription eyewear as simple as buying a pair of shoes online.
We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Product & Digital to help us achieve exactly that. This isn’t a role for someone who simply wants to manage an e-commerce website. This is an opportunity to redefine an entire industry.
The Opportunity
This is one of the most influential leadership roles within Specscart. You’ll work directly with the Founder & Managing Director and become part of a small Senior Leadership Team responsible for shaping the future of the business. Your mission is to continually simplify the customer journey whilst building one of the world’s best digital eyewear platforms.
What You Will Own
Digital Product
- Product strategy and roadmap
- Customer journey optimisation
- Product discovery
- Search and navigation
- Checkout experience
- UX/UI improvements
- AI-powered customer experiences
- Product experimentation and innovation
Ecommerce Operations
You’ll own the complete e-commerce experience including:
- Product uploads
- Product information management
- Product categorisation
- Digital merchandising
- Landing pages
- Ecommerce photography
- Lifestyle product photography
- Product launches
- Catalogue quality
- Website content related to e-commerce
Commercial Performance
You’ll own and improve:
- Website Conversion Rate
- Revenue per Visitor
- Average Order Value
- Customer Lifetime Value
- Funnel optimisation
- CRO
- A/B testing
- Customer analytics
- Heat maps
- Digital performance reporting
Leadership
You’ll build and lead the Product & Digital function.
Working closely with:
- Marketing
- Technology
- Customer Relations
- Operations
- Retail
Your role is to combine every department’s feedback towards building an outstanding customer experience.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has 7+ years of experience in Product, Digital, or Ecommerce functions and demonstrated the ability to build, improve and lead exceptional digital customer experiences within a fast growing consumer business.
You’re someone who:
- Thinks commercially before tactically.
- Is obsessed with customer experience.
- Enjoy solving complex problems.
- Leads cross-functional teams with confidence.
- Uses data to make decisions.
- Challenges conventional thinking.

Experience within D2C, retail, fashion, consumer brands or omnichannel businesses will be highly advantageous.
