Job Summary
We are seeking a Nearly/Newly Qualified Car Mechanic to join our professional team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have recently completed their automotive training or are in the early stages of their mechanic career. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify faults using diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools to carry out assembly and repair tasks
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to accurately diagnose issues
- Carry out equipment repairs and routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation of workshop tools and machinery
- Assist with the installation of new components and assemblies in vehicles
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering client queries
Experience
- Recent qualification or apprenticeship in automotive technology or mechanical engineering
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical principles
- Familiarity with schematics, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures
- Experience using hand tools, power tools is desirable but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine repairs or parts handling
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and repair processes
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
