Experienced Barista
Located within the award winning Shrewsbury’s Market Hall, The Bird’s Nest is an independent street food cafe serving tasty food, coffee and good vibes.
We use Hundred House a local coffee roasters and pride ourselves on serving good coffee accompanied by good food and of course our relaxed good vibes. Each and every member of our team exudes passion and we involve them in many things you experience at The Birds Nest.
We are after an experienced barista to join our busy team.
YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS COFFEE BARISTA (candidates with no experience will not be selected for the interview process)
Essential requirements: Minimum one year’s experience as a barista
Good latte art
Ability to dial in
Able to self-motivate, stay focused and enjoy a busy fast pace environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Operating the coffee machine and ensuring a consistent standard of coffee
Working on the floor when required - taking orders, serving food/drinks and using the till
Working in pot-wash when required.

Hours available: 30-43 per week can be discussed at interview.
Up to £13 per hour (Dependent on experience.)
You must be available to work Tuesday to Saturday 7.30am-6pm
Throughout the year we open for Late Night Saturdays which we turn our coffee bar into a cocktail bar and serve a different menu such as “Taco Night” so if you have any bar or mixology experience let us know.

- You get free food and coffee whilst on shift.
- All tips are shared equally between floor and kitchen staff, our tipping system is ace you get between £2 to £2.50 per hour worked.
- Christmas holiday, we close every year from Christmas Day until the first week of January. The best time to be off work and relax with family.
- Staff uniform, we will supply you with Birds Nest T-shirts and Jumpers.
